Terms of service

Short, plain terms for a service given by one person. If anything here is unclear, ask before you book.
Who provides the service
Massage services are provided personally by Konstantinos Fessaras, trading as Mastichari Massage, Mastichari, Kos, Greece. Contact: kosfess@hotmail.com, +30 6977784790.
There are no employees and no subcontractors. The person who arrives is the person on this website.
What this is, and what it is not
These are wellness and relaxation massages. They are not medical treatment, physiotherapy, or a diagnosis, and nothing on this website should be read as a promise to cure, treat or prevent any illness or condition.
If you have a health condition, are pregnant, are taking medication that affects bleeding or sensation, or are recovering from an injury or an operation, speak to your doctor first and tell me when you book. In some cases the right answer is that I should not give you a massage, and I will say so.
Booking and confirmation
A booking exists only once I have confirmed the time to you. A request sent by WhatsApp, by email or by phone is a request, not a confirmed appointment.
No deposit is taken and nothing is paid through this website. This site processes no payments of any kind.
Prices
Prices are given when you get in touch and are confirmed together with the appointment, before the massage. The price you are quoted at booking is the price you pay.
No price is published on this website. Any figure you may find on an old copy of the previous website is out of date and does not apply.
Cancelling and changing
Plans change on holiday, and there is no cancellation fee. If you cannot make the appointment, tell me as early as you reasonably can so the time can go to someone else.
If I have to cancel - illness or something else outside my control - I will tell you as soon as I know and, where possible, offer another time.
Where the massage takes place
At my own premises in the pedestrian centre of Mastichari, next to Ghitonia. This is the only place the service is given; there are no outcalls.
During the session - conduct
This is a strictly professional, non-sexual service. Any request, comment or behaviour of a sexual nature ends the session immediately, the full fee remains payable, and no further booking will be accepted.
You keep your underwear on and are covered by a towel throughout, apart from the area being worked on. You can ask me to change the pressure, avoid an area, or stop entirely at any moment, and I will.
Being on time
If you are not there at the agreed time I will wait and try to reach you. A session that starts late may have to finish at the time it was due to end, because of the appointment after it.
Liability
I work with reasonable skill and care, in line with my training and certification. I am not liable for a reaction or an injury arising from a condition you did not tell me about when I asked.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited under Greek law. Nothing here affects the statutory rights you have as a consumer.

The client comments shown on this site were left on the previous version of this website between 2015 and 2018. They are reproduced as written, with surnames and other identifying details removed. Translations are marked as translations. Nothing has been invented.
Governing law
These terms are governed by Greek law. If a dispute cannot be resolved between us, the courts of Kos have jurisdiction. As a consumer, you keep any right you have to bring proceedings in your own country of residence.

Changes
These terms may change. The version in force when your booking was confirmed is the one that applies to it.
